The Thirst

The seas have vanished. The oceans, rivers, and lakes of Earth have been pulled into the sky, condensed into a single colossal sphere — the Aquaball — hanging twenty kilometers above the planet. Humanity is left scrambling on dry seabeds, caught between thirst and terror as the world grows lighter by the hour.

On the ground in Rio de Janeiro, Jorginho, a street vendor from Rocinha, watches the waters drain away while riots erupt over every stolen bottle. In boardrooms and bunkers, governments and corporations conspire to claim the Aquaball for themselves, turning survival into a commodity. And in the shadows, mercenaries and smugglers fight a dirty war to control the first drops siphoned from the sky.

But as factions collide — from favelas to skyscrapers, from street markets to satellite orbits — one truth becomes undeniable: whoever controls the Aquaball controls the future of life on Earth.

A cyberpunk-eco thriller of survival, greed, and rebellion, The Thirst asks: when water itself becomes the rarest currency, how much would you sacrifice to keep it — and who would you become when the world runs dry?
